The African Peer Review Mechanism is the brainchild of the African leaders. It is voluntarily acceded to by Member States of the African Union for self-assessment. The primary purpose of the APRM is to enable participating countries to learn and adopt policies, standards and practices of countries with success stories for achieving similar successes in their countries.
